Welcome to the ToPP Research Group!
I am in the process of building a new research group at IIT Bombay, focused on exploring exciting theoretical problems in photonics, topological physics, light-matter interactions, and related topics. My research focuses on uncovering novel physical phenomena in topological photonics, exciton-polaritons, and topological lasers. I aim to understand and design systems that exhibit unique properties stemming from topology and quantum effects, with the goal of advancing both fundamental science and practical applications in photonics—such as topological lasers and other polariton-based devices, including polariton transistors, logic gates, quantum emitters, etc.
I am looking for motivated PhD students and postdocs to join the group. If you are interested, I encourage you to explore the research and publications page and reach out to discuss potential openings. The best way to reach me is by email (subhaskar@iitb.ac.in).
IIT Bombay Bachelors and Masters students interested in pursuing their final year project with me should email (subhaskar@iitb.ac.in) to discuss possible research topics.
In 2025, I will not be offering summer internships or short-term research projects to students outside IIT Bombay.
