We are looking for motivated PhD students interested in working on cutting-edge theoretical problems in photonics and condensed matter physics. The admission process is as follows:
PhD admissions are conducted twice a year: August and January intakes.
Applicants must have a valid GATE/JEST/NET score or be provisionally selected for an INSPIRE fellowship.
B.Tech., B.S., and Master’s students from IIT Bombay and other IITs are exempt from the above tests, provided they meet the minimum CGPA/CPI requirement, which may vary yearly.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Although we are a theoretical group, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experimental groups at IIT Bombay and internationally to validate theoretical predictions. Additionally, as a PhD student in our group, you will be expected to present your findings at national and international conferences.
